Here at DANÆG our core focus is providing high quality eggs for our customers. But that’s not all! Besides offering convenient high-quality products that reduce waste and cooking time in your kitchen, we are also opening up to our private customers on-the-go. For that reason, we have come up with the “eggspress” concept that focuses on providing a healthy and nutritious meal without needing to stand in kitchen early in the morning.

In May 2021 a statistic has been made on Danes eating habit by Madkulturen. The statistics was focusing on whether people prefer to have fixed meals or have a more flexible eating habit. The results of the survey were the following:

  • 44% of respondents eat whenever it fits their day
  • 34% of respondents eat at fixed times
  • 22% of respondents do not eat neither at flexible nor fixed times

What this statistics tell us? That we need to adapt to our customers’ daily life. In our fast-paced life it is important to be flexible when it comes to offering meals. In Denmark, many people are on the go during the day and do not eat their meals at fixed times and places. These on-the-go meals are mainly spontaneous meals and therefore also tend to be unhealthier, such as having a pizza slice, fizzy drinks or a piece of cake.

However, from this market research, we also got to know that on-the-go customers long for healthier alternatives at an affordable price. At the same time, according to CONCITO, young adults in Denmark are also climate-conscious when it comes to buying food. They are looking for both healthy and climate-friendly options on the market. And that’s when eggs come into the picture...

Eggs are the answer to the customers’ pain. Eggs are nutritious, full of vitamins and minerals (read more HERE) and one of the most climate-friendly animal proteins (having a lower CO2 emission than fish, ox-, pig-, and chicken meat, shellfish, and cheese).
