Danæg guarantees that all our eggs and egg products are stored under very strict cooling requirements all the way from the farmer’s storage to the packing station and the processing plant. At the farms, the eggs are collected every day and packed in egg trays in a special storage room with a maximum temperature of 12 ºC.
The eggs are transported by Danæg’s own drivers in temperature-controlled vehicles which also have a cooling temperature of maximum 12 ºC. At our packing stations, the cold chain continues from the packing stations to the refrigerated storage rooms.
When reaching the factory, the eggs are kept at cooling temperatures during the entire process from the breaking till the storage in raw material tanks with a temperature of 4 ºC. After the pasteurization which eliminates the bacteria, the finished egg products are stored in refrigerated storage rooms.
